This innovative space was made possible through a major gift from the AEP Foundation. Educators are encouraged to utilize the classroom to create memorable, impactful lessons that connect students to the environment.
The Johnny Appleseed Trail of Trees celebrates the environmental legacy of Johnny Appleseed through a partnership with the Johnny Appleseed Educational Museum in Urbana, Ohio. Fort Wayne’s Johnny Appleseed Trail of Trees includes locations at area schools and community spaces, such as Parkview Field, where students and educators have actively participated in tree planting. The program offers rich opportunities to integrate lessons on Johnny Appleseed’s ideals into classrooms and outdoor learning environments.
